USSR, 1983. Dina goes for an internship at a medical hospital in Afghanistan and faces not only the horrors of war, but also true love, which seems to have no place on this earth. Officer Gerasimov, saved by Dina, sees in her the meaning of his life and is ready to risk everything just to be with her. Having learned that Dina is in danger, he goes to a distant mountain outpost and enters into a dangerous battle to save his beloved.
