Based on novels by Stanislav Gurin, this crime drama follows Ignat Gromov, a former internal security officer whose wife, an investigative journalist named Lyuba, is targeted by a hitman after witnessing a banker's assassination. Despite Ignat's attempts to protect her, Lyuba is ultimately killed, driving him back into service to avenge her death and dismantle a ruthless human organ trafficking syndicate using his intelligence skills, all while discovering a unexpected second chance at love along the way.
