Serial helps you remember what you’ve watched, where you left off, and what you want to watch next.
Browse without an account
Anyone can search the live TVmaze catalogue. Searches query TVmaze directly. Filters apply to the returned title matches or current browse batch, rather than every title worldwide at once. Open a show for current seasons, episodes and air dates. Data refreshes automatically; upstream updates can take about an hour to appear. Country/region refers to the broadcaster where listed.
Sign in to save your own collection
Choose Create account or Log in on Serial. Choose a unique username and use your email and password. Supabase manages authentication. You do not need ChatGPT or access to the development environment. If enabled, you can also continue with Google.
Your saved shows are linked to that signed-in account. Use the same account on your phone or computer to access the same collection. On a shared device, choose Sign out when finished.
Create accountKeep your place in a series
- Open a show from Discover.
- Choose Watchlist, Watching, Completed, On Hold, or Dropped.
- Select the season and last episode you watched. You can also leave a five-star rating and a private review.
- Choose Save to diary. Your records are saved online, not just in your browser.
Get upcoming episode reminders
Open a show, turn on Follow episode reminders, choose an alert time, and save. Then open Upcoming → Connect calendar and follow the subscription instructions.
Enable notifications in your calendar app. Calendar services control when subscriptions refresh and which alerts they support. Air dates come from the original broadcast schedule; availability where you live may differ. If no date is announced, Serial shows that clearly.
Use Serial on your phone
Open the same website in your mobile browser. The catalogue, filters, and diary adapt to smaller screens. Swipe the navigation sideways to reach all shelves. You do not need to install a separate app.
Where your data lives
Your collection is stored in Serial’s hosted database, provided by Supabase. Other visitors cannot browse your diary through Serial. Read about account information, storage, and who can access data.
