Mentiras pasajeras portrays the life of main character Lucía. One month before her wedding, and just before being appointed as the director of the company where she works, she is betrayed by Santi, her promotion rival. Because of this, Lucía is accused of industrial espionage, and she gets fired without consideration, but decides to keep it a secret from her family.
