In the after war years from France to motherland returns a soldier with a name Sergei. Giselle his french love is moving with him too. For Giselle it is hard to get used to the lifestyle of a soviet village but she is trying as hard as she can because of her feelings for him. But on the other hand Sergei is a popular man in the village. His neighbour Klavdia is also in love with him and she is trying to destroy the marriage in any possible way. She makes Sergei fall in love with her sister Olga. Unspeakable passion is happening in the village. Which choice will Sergei make?
